Ranjeeta "Robby" Kaur (born 22 September 1956) is an Indian actress. She was trained at FTII. She has appeared in around 47 films. She has portrayed a variety of characters and her films include: ''Laila Majnu'' (1976), ''Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se'' (1978) and '' Pati Patni Aur Woh'' (1978). She was nominated for the Filmfare Awards three times, including two of the above films. Personal life Kaur is married to Raj Masand and has a son named Sky. Ranjeeta lived in the past with her husband Raj and son Sky in Norfolk, Virginia, US. They moved to Koregaon Park, Pune a few years ago. They owned a series of 7-Eleven stores in Virginia. Career Kaur started her film career as the lead opposite Rishi Kapoor in the film ''Laila Majnu'' (1976). Subsequently, she acted in commercially successful films like '' Pati Patni Aur Woh'' (with Sanjeev Kumar) and ''Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se'' (with Sachin). Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se
''Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se'' ( hi, अँखियों के झरोखे से, lit=Through the eyelashes) is a 1978 Indian Hindi language Drama (film and television), drama film, starring Ranjeeta and Sachin (actor), Sachin and directed by Hiren Nag. It was produced and distributed by Rajshri Productions and showcased music by Ravindra Jain. The film was a Blockbuster (entertainment), blockbuster at the box office, earning 4.5 times of its budget. It was 18th highest grossing movie in India in 1978. The title song of the movie was also hugely popular. The film was shot in Mumbai and other locations in India. A sequel to the film called Jaana Pehchana was released in 2011, but it failed miserably at the box office, and could not get good reviews let alone match the success of the original. ''Pati Patni Aur Woh'' () is a 1978 Hindi movie produced and directed by B. R. Chopra. The film stars Sanjeev Kumar, Vidya Sinha, Ranjeeta Kaur, and in guest appearances Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Singh, Tina Munim and Parveen Babi. The film was remade under the same name in 2019 starring Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Pandey. The film was directed by Mudassar Aziz and produced by Bhushan Kumar. ''Damaad'' is a 1978 Bollywood comedy film directed by Rajat Rakshit. It features Amol Palekar, Ranjeeta, Shreeram Lagoo, Tarla Mehta, Preeti Ganguly, Pinchoo Kapoor, Dina Pathak and Jagdeep. ''Surakksha'' (English: ''Protection'') is a 1979 Hindi- language film directed by Ravikant Nagaich. The film stars Mithun Chakraborty, Ranjeeta, Jeevan, Jagdeep, Iftekhar, and Aruna Irani. ''Jaana Pehchana'' (English: Well-known), is a 2011 Indian film directed by Sachin Pilgaonkar and produced by Rajshri Productions. The film stars Sachin Pilgaonkar and Ranjeeta in leads.
