Rangy Nanan
Rangy or Ranjie Nanan (29 May 1953 – 23 March 2016) was a West Indian cricketer who played in one Test match in 1980. Early life Born in Preysal Village, Couva, Trinidad and Tobago, Nanan attended Presentation College in Chaguanas, where he took cricket seriously for the first time. After developing as an off-spinner, Nanan made the Trinidad and Tobago youth representative teams in 1969 and 1970, and toured England with the West Indies youth team in 1970. His continual success in youth cricket, including winning the Learie Constantine Trophy for being the most outstanding all rounder at the 1972 West Indies Youth Championships, led to Nanan making his first-class cricket debut for Trinidad and Tobago in 1972/73. Couva
Couva is an urban town (48,858 in 2011 census) in west-central Trinidad, south of Port of Spain and Chaguanas and north of San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago, San Fernando and Point Fortin. It is the capital and main urban centre of Couva–Tabaquite–Talparo, and the Greater Couva area includes the Point Lisas Industrial Estate and the Port of Point Lisas. Regional Four Day Competition
The Regional Four Day Competition, formerly known as Shell Shield and Carib Beer Cup, is the First Class Cricket, first-class cricket competition in the West Indian cricket team, West Indies. It is administered by the Cricket West Indies. In the 2013-2014 season the winner of the tournament was awarded the WICB President's Trophy while the winners of the knockout competition were awarded the George Headley/Everton Weekes trophy. In a few previous seasons the winners of the tournament were awarded the Headley/Weekes trophy. From the 2017–18, the Competition had been sponsored by Digicel and was known as the Digicel Four Day Championship. In 2019-20, the competition has been known as the West Indies Championship. Nirmal Nanan (19 August 1951 – 4 December 2021) was a West Indian first-class cricketer active from 1969 to 80 who played for Nottinghamshire and in Trinidad. Nanan was born in Preysal, Trinidad. Tony Gray (cricketer)
Anthony Hollis Gray (born 23 May 1963) is a former West Indian cricketer who played five Tests and 25 One Day Internationals. Gray was a tall fast bowler who hails from Trinidad. Despite his impressive average of 17.13 in Tests and a superb performance in the Indian subcontinent, Gray had limited opportunities due to persistent injuries and the presence of Malcolm Marshall, Joel Garner, Courtney Walsh and later Curtly Ambrose in the team. Career Gray represented Trinidad & Tobago between 1984 and 1995. He played for Surrey in the English County Championship between 1985 and 1990 and also played for Western Transvaal in South Africa for the 1993–94 season. Gray played his 5 Tests in the 1986–87 season versus Pakistan and New Zealand. Brian Lara
Brian Charles Lara, (born 2 May 1969) is a Trinidadian former international cricketer, widely acknowledged as one of the greatest batsmen of all time. He topped the Test batting rankings on several occasions and holds several cricketing records, including the record for the highest individual score in first-class cricket, with 501 not out for Warwickshire against Durham at Edgbaston in 1994, which is the only quintuple-hundred in first-class cricket history. Lara also holds the record for the highest individual score in a Test innings after scoring 400 not out at Antigua during the 4th test against England in 2004. Caroni County was a historic county of Trinidad and Tobago. It occupies in the west central part of the island of Trinidad, the larger island in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. The NCCA 3 Day Championship (previously the Minor Counties Cricket Championship) is a season-long competition in England and Wales that is contested by the members of the National Counties Cricket Association (NCCA), the so-called national counties that do not have first-class status. Durham County Cricket Club (rebranded as Durham Cricket in February 2019) is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales.
