Randy McDaniel
Randy McDaniel (born August 8, 1967) is an American politician who served as the Oklahoma State Treasurer from 2019 to 2023. A Republican, he was a member of the Oklahoma House of Representatives, for the 83rd district, from 2007 through 2019. Career McDaniel graduated from Edmond Memorial High School in Edmond, Oklahoma, in 1986. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor's degree in economics and from the University of Cambridge with a master's degree in land economy. He worked in banking and as a financial advisor. In 2006, McDaniel was elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives for the 83rd district. He served in the Oklahoma House for six terms. In the 2018 elections, McDaniel ran for Oklahoma State Treasurer. He won the election over Democrat Charles de Coune. KWGS 89.5 FM is the flagship National Public Radio station in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The station was Oklahoma's first FM radio station and is one of two stations operated by the University of Tulsa. 2018 Oklahoma State Elections
The 2018 general election was held in the U.S. state of Oklahoma on November 6, 2018. All of Oklahoma's executive officers were up for election as well as the state's five seats in the United States House of Representatives, half of the 48 seats in the Oklahoma Senate and all 101 seats in the Oklahoma House, and five offices in each of Oklahoma's 77 counties. Voter turnout was 42.5% of the eligible population, a 12.6% increase over the 2014 midterms but still the third lowest in the nation.
