Randy Delorey
Randy Delorey is a Canadian politician, who was elected to the Nova Scotia House of Assembly in the 2013 provincial election. He was one of three candidates to succeed Stephen McNeil as the leader of the Nova Scotia Liberal Party and Premier of Nova Scotia. A member of the Nova Scotia Liberal Party, he represented the electoral district of Antigonish until 2021. Early life and education Delorey graduated from St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish in 2000. Delorey then received a Bachelor of Information Systems degree from St. Francis Xavier University, an MBA from the Université de Moncton, and he is a PhD candidate in management at Saint Mary's University. Iain Thomas Rankin (born April 9, 1983) is a Canadian politician who served as the 29th premier of Nova Scotia from February 23, 2021, to August 31, 2021. He serves in the Nova Scotia House of Assembly for the Nova Scotia Liberal Party, representing the electoral district of Timberlea-Prospect . Boat Harbour, Nova Scotia
Boat Harbour is a body of water on the Northumberland Strait in Pictou County, Nova Scotia. Originally a tidal estuary, construction of a pulp and paper waste effluent treatment facility in the 1960s led to the pollution of the harbour and the source of ongoing environmental concern. Treated water takes about 30 days to reach the Northumberland Strait. Since the treatment system began operation in 1967, Boat Harbour has become polluted with dioxins, furans, chloride, mercury and other toxic heavy metals. It is considered to be one of Nova Scotia's worst cases of environmental racism. In 2015, the ''Boat Harbour Act'' wrote into law that the pulp and paper mill cease effluent treatment no later than January 31, 2020; soon after this took effect, the mill closed indefinitely. Pictou Landing First Nations is a Mi'kmaq First Nations in Canada, First Nation band government in Nova Scotia, Canada. Goldboro, Nova Scotia
Goldboro is a Canadian rural community in Guysborough County, Nova Scotia. Located on the Eastern Shore along Route 316, Goldboro is approximately 16 kilometres west of the shire town of Guysborough. Mining and energy developments In 1861 gold was discovered in quartz veins on the Isaac's Harbour anticline to the east of the community. All together 14 mines were developed in this area producing some 140,000 ounces of reported production. Production ceased in 1941 with the closure of the Lower Seal Harbour Mine. Debert () (2006 pop: 1,471) is an unincorporated farming community in Nova Scotia, Canada. Located in the central-western part of Colchester County, it is approximately west of Truro.
