Randy Ciarlante
Randy Ciarlante is an American musician who frequently played with The Band. He joined The Band in 1990, singing harmony and playing drums. He played and sang on their albums from the 1990s, including '' Jericho'', '' High on the Hog'' and '' Jubilation''. After the Band dissolved, he joined the Jim Weider Band from 1998 to 2006 and continues to play occasionally with Weider's Percolator band. In 2006, he joined the Organiks, a band based in Woodstock, New York, in which he is a primary vocalist, songwriter and drummer, along with Bruce Katz, Jay Collins and Chris Vitarello. Randy Ciarlante has also been a mainstay of the Woodstock music scene since 1981 and has played with many of that area's leading musicians over the years. Woodstock (town), New York
Woodstock is a town in Ulster County, New York, United States, in the northern part of the county, northwest of Kingston, NY. It lies within the borders of the Catskill Park. The population was 5,884 at the 2010 census, down from 6,241 in 2000. History The first non-indigenous settler arrived around 1770, and the town of Woodstock was established in 1787. Later, territory from Woodstock was contributed to form the towns of Middletown (1789), Windham (1798), Shandaken (1804), and Olive (1853). Woodstock played host to numerous Hudson River School painters during the late 1800s. The Arts and Crafts Movement came to Woodstock in 1902, with the arrival of Ralph Radcliffe Whitehead, Bolton Brown and Hervey White, who formed the Byrdcliffe Colony. In 1906, L. ''High on the Hog'' is the ninth studio album by Canadian-American rock group the Band, released in 1996. As with its predecessor, 1993's ''Jericho'', it relies heavily on cover versions; only two tracks are original. ''Times Like These'' was Band bassist Rick Danko's final album, a posthumous release featuring tracks from a variety of sources dating from an aborted solo project in 1993 to Danko's final live performance in Ann Arbor, Michigan just days before his death. ''Live on Breeze Hill'' was The Band bassist Rick Danko's third solo album, and the last released before his death in December 1999. It was credited to the "Rick Danko Band": Rick Danko, Garth Hudson & Aaron Hurwitz. Focusing on an intimate show with Danko fronting a nine-piece group featuring three fellow members of the Band as well as auxiliary member Aaron Hurwitz, the album mostly features live versions of songs from the glory days of the Band, with only "Crazy Mama" (a late-period Band track), "Blaze of Glory" (a track Danko recorded with Danko/Fjeld/Andersen) and "Next Time You See Me" (featuring Hurwitz on lead vocal) coming from Danko's post-Band era. ''Let It Rock'' is a Juno Award-nominated album that documents American-Canadian singer Ronnie Hawkins' 60th birthday celebration and concert at Massey Hall in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The concert took place on January 8, 1995 and featured performances by Hawkins, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, the Band and Larry Gowan. Jeff Healey sat in on guitar for most, if not all, of the performances. Hawkins' band, the Hawks, or permutations of it, backed most, if not all, of the acts. All of the musicians performing that night were collectively dubbed "the Rock ‘N’ Roll Orchestra". The concert is among the last recorded of both Perkins and Rick Danko of the Band. An eponymous video of the concert was also released. The album also included a studio track of Hawkins performing his song "Days Gone By", backed by the Band and the Hawks. The 30th Anniversary Concert Celebration
''The 30th Anniversary Concert Celebration'' is a live double-album release in recognition of Bob Dylan's 30 years as a recording artist. Recorded on October 16, 1992, at Madison Square Garden in New York City, it captures most of the concert, which featured many artists performing classic Dylan songs, before ending with three songs from Dylan himself. The house band for the show were the surviving members of Booker T. & the M.G.'s: Booker T. Jones on organ, Donald "Duck" Dunn on bass, and Steve Cropper on guitar. Joining them was drummer Anton Fig filling in for the late Al Jackson, plus drummer Jim Keltner. Longtime ''Saturday Night Live'' bandleader and initial lead guitar player in Dylan's Never Ending Tour G. E.
