Randolph High School (Texas)
Randolph High School, part of the Randolph Field Independent School District, is located on Randolph Air Force Base in Universal City, Texas, a suburb of San Antonio. It serves approximately 470 high school students and employs approximately 40 high school teachers and other support staff. Randolph High School was established in 1962, and was the first high school located entirely within an existing Air Force Base. Overview In 2017, Randolph High School was rated " Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency, with a 1-Star Distinction for Academic Achievement in Social Studies. In 2005 Randolph was ranked the 15th-best high school in Texas by the Texas Education Excellence Project. Randolph AFB
Randolph Air Force Base was an United States Air Force base located at Universal City, Texas ( east-northeast of Downtown San Antonio). Opened in 1931, Randolph has been a flying training facility for the United States Army Air Corps, the United States Army Air Forces, and the Air Force during its entire existence. On 1 October 2010, Randolph AFB merged with Lackland Air Force Base and the US Army's Fort Sam Houston to form Joint Base San Antonio. Naming Randolph AFB was named after Captain William Millican Randolph, a native of Austin, who was on the base naming committee at the time of his death in a crash. The base served as headquarters of the Air Education and Training Command (AETC) as well as the Air Force Personnel Center (AFPC) and was known as "the Showplace of the Air Force" because of the Spanish Colonial Revival Style architecture in which all structures including hangars were constructed. Moton Hopkins (born November 20, 1986) is a former professional Canadian football defensive tackle. He was signed by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (CFL) as a free agent in the spring of 2010. He played college football at the University of Tulsa. He has also been a member of the Montreal Alouettes (CFL). Early years Hopkins was a three-year letter winner at Randolph High School. He started three years at both tight end and defensive end and helped lead his team to a 10–2 record both his junior and senior seasons. Reggie Rivers
Reggie Rivers (born February 22, 1968, in Dayton, Ohio) is a professional broadcaster and motivational speaker and former professional football player. Sports career Rivers grew up in a U.S. Air Force family and lived in Ohio, England, Florida and Greece before his family moved to the San Antonio, Texas, area. Rivers attended high school at Randolph High School in Randolph AFB, Texas, just outside of San Antonio. In his senior year he rushed for 1,200 yards and earned a scholarship to Southwest Texas State University (now called Texas State University). Rivers was successful at Texas State, and was named to their "Hall of Honor" hall of fame in 2003. He majored in Journalism at Texas State and worked for the ''San Antonio Light''. Judson High School
Judson High School is a public, co-educational secondary school in Converse, Texas, United States, 15 miles northeast of downtown San Antonio. It was established in 1959 as part of the Judson Independent School District, and is currently classified as a 6A school by the University Interscholastic League (UIL). Judson High School is the second oldest International Baccalaureate World School in Texas, since 1985. The school and the District were named after Moses Campbell Judson, who served on the Bexar County School Board from 1918 to 1939.
