Randolph Bracy
Randolph Bracy III (born April 23, 1977) is an American politician who is a member of the Florida Senate from the 11th district. Bracy's district includes parts of central and northwest Orange County. Bracy is the first African American to serve as Chair of the Criminal Justice Committee. As a member of the State Senate, Bracy pushed for the establishment of Juneteenth as a state holiday. Prior to his election to the Senate, Bracy was a member of the Florida House of Representatives from 2012 to 2016, representing the 45th district. Early life and education Bracy was born in Jacksonville to Randolph Bracy, Jr. and LaVon Wright Bracy, the founders of the New Covenant Baptist Church in Orlando. Geraldine Fortenberry Thompson (born November 18, 1948) is an American politician and member of the Democratic Party, who currently serves as a member of the Florida State Senate from the 15th district. She served as a member of the Florida House of Representatives, representing the 44th District from 2018 to 2022. Maxwell Alejandro Frost (born January 17, 1997) is an American politician, activist and musician serving as the U.S. representative for since 2023. A member of the Democratic Party, he was previously the national organizing director for March for Our Lives. Elected at age 25, he is the first member of Generation Z in Congress. Valdez Venita Demings (née Butler; born March 12, 1957) is an American politician and former police officer serving as the U.S. representative from since 2017. The district covers most of the western half of Orlando and includes much of the area around Orlando's resort parks. It includes many of Orlando's western suburbs, including Apopka and Winter Garden. From 2007 to 2011, Demings was chief of the Orlando Police Department, its first female chief, capping a 27-year career with the department. Robert B. "Bob" Sindler (born August 1, 1952) is a Democratic politician who served in the Florida House of Representatives from 1988 to 1998, and who served on the Orange County Commission from 1998 to 2006. Florida's 10th congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of Florida. It was reassigned in 2012, effective January 3, 2013, from the Gulf Coast to inland Central Florida. Before 2017, the district included parts of western Orange County, most of Lake County, as well as a northern section of Polk County. The current district is entirely within Orange County, and covers most of its western portion. It is situated along the Interstate 4 corridor. It includes most of the western half of Orlando. Gary Anthony Siplin (born October 21, 1954 in Orlando, Florida) was a Democratic member of the Florida Senate, representing the 19th District from 2003. Previously he was a member of the Florida House of Representatives from 2000 through 2002. Siplin earned a B.A. in political science from Johnson C. Smith University, where he became a member of Omega Psi Phi fraternity. He then attended the University of Pittsburgh, earning an M.A. in Public and International Affairs.
