Ramón González Expósito (born 25 November 1974), known simply as Ramón, is a Spanish former footballer who played as a central defender, currently a manager. Club career Ramón was born in Malagón, Province of Ciudad Real, Castilla–La Mancha. During his professional career he represented Real Valladolid, Atlético Madrid (first and second teams), UD Las Palmas, Córdoba CF, Recreativo de Huelva, Real Murcia and Xerez CD. Most of Ramón's career was spent in the Segunda División, but he did play 101 La Liga matches, the first on 5 September 1993 when Valladolid lost 0–1 at home against Sporting de Gijón. He retired with Andalusia's Xerez at the end of the 2007–08 campaign in the second tier, where he totalled 266 games over ten seasons. UEFA European Under-17 Championship
The UEFA European Under-17 Championship or simply UEFA Under-17 Championship, is an annual football competition contested by the European men's under-17 national teams of the member associations of UEFA. Spain is the most successful team in this competition, having won nine titles. France are the current champions. History and format The current competition format consists of three stages: a qualifying round, an elite round and a final tournament. The first stage takes place in autumn of the previous year, while the elite round is played in spring. The winners of each elite round group join the host team in the final tournament, played in May. Until the 1997 tournament, players born on or after 1 August the year they turned 17 years were eligible to compete. Since the 1998 tournament, the date limit has been moved back to 1 January. 1991 FIFA U-17 World Championship
The 1991 FIFA U-17 World Championship, the fourth edition of the tournament, was held in the cities of Florence, Montecatini Terme, Viareggio, Massa, Carrara, and Livorno in Italy between 16 August and 31 August 1991. Players born after 1 August 1974 could participate in this tournament. Saudi Arabia, the 1989 champions, were not able to defend their title as they withdrew from the final round of the AFC qualifying tournament, citing the Blue Diamond Affair. The tournament was originally to be scheduled in Ecuador, but due to the cholera outbreak earlier that year, it was moved to Italy, which hosted the previous year's World Cup.
