Ramón Fernández (footballer)
Ramón Ignacio Fernández Arias (, born 3 December 1984) is an Argentine-Chilean footballer who plays as a midfielder for San Antonio Unido in the Segunda División Profesional de Chile. Club career A product of Estudiantes de la Plata youth system, Fernández joined its reserve team in January 2003 but spent most of the next five years on loan at several Argentine sides, including Sarmiento, Club Sportivo Ben Hur, Defensa y Justicia and Club Atlético Atlanta, before being loaned again to the Croatian side NK Rijeka in July 2008. At Rijeka, he established himself as a first-team regular in his first season with the club and scored one goal in 20 appearances in the 2008–09 season. At the end of the season, the club decided to renew the loan deal into the next season. Therefore, the loan spell ended in July 2010, returning to Estudiantes subsequently. 2010–11 Argentine Primera División Season
The 2010–11 Primera División season was the 120th season of top-flight professional football in Argentina. A total of 20 teams competed in two championships —the Apertura and Clausura— over the course of the season, which started on August 6, 2010 and ended on June 30, 2011, one day prior to the start of the 2011 Copa América, held in Argentina. Club information Twenty clubs participated in the 2010–11 season. Chacarita Juniors and Atlético Tucumán were relegated at the end of the 2009–10 season. They were replaced by Olimpo and Quilmes, both of whom were promoted from the Primera B Nacional. Rosario Central and Gimnasia y Esgrima (LP) played in the relegation/promotion playoffs against All Boys and Atlético de Rafaela, respectively, to determine the other two teams for this season.
