Ramshead Range
The Ramshead Range, a mountain range that is part of the Snowy Mountains, is located in the Monaro region of New South Wales and the Alpine region of Victoria, Australia. Location and features The range extends from the southwest near Mount Cobberas No. 1 in Victoria, across the Black-Allen Line that defines the straight line border between the two states, towards the northeast near Thredbo in New South Wales. The peaks of the range are around , with Mount Twynam, at an elevation of , the highest peak. The number of peaks in the Ramshead Range is debatable: however it is commonly accepted that the South Ramshead, the Rams Head and the North Ramshead are all proper peaks. The peak between Rams Head and North Ramshead is sometimes known as the 'Central' Ramshead. Rams Head
The Rams Head is a mountain located in the Ramshead Range of the Snowy Mountains in New South Wales, Australia. With an elevation of above sea level, its summit is the fourth highest mountain in New South Wales and the fourth highest mountain in Australia. Thredbo
Thredbo is a village and ski resort in the Snowy Mountains of New South Wales, Australia, situated in a part of the Snowy Monaro Regional Council, and has been operated by Event Hospitality and Entertainment since 1987. It is approximately south of Sydney, accessible by the Alpine Way via Cooma, Berridale, and Jindabyne. The village is built in the valley of the Thredbo River, also known as the Crackenback River, at the foot of the Ramshead Range. Snowy Mountains
The Snowy Mountains, known informally as "The Snowies", is an IBRA subregion in southern New South Wales, Australia, and is the tallest mountain range in mainland Australia, being part of the continent's Great Dividing Range cordillera system. It makes up the northeastern half of the Australian Alps (the other half being the Victorian Alps) and contains Australia's five tallest peaks, all of which are above , including the tallest Mount Kosciuszko, which reaches to a height of above sea level. Mount Twynam
Mount Twynam is a mountain located on the Main Range, part of the Great Dividing Range, in the Snowy Mountains in New South Wales, Australia. The mountain is located close the border between New South Wales and Victoria. With an elevation of above sea level, the mountain is the third-highest mountain on mainland Australia. It is located north-east of Mount Kosciuszko. The mountain is large but unimposing, and has good and far-reaching views over Blue Lake Cirque and the Western Falls. Despite being relatively accessible by track, it is rarely visited. The mountain forms a watershed for the Snowy River to the southeast and the Geehi River to the northwest.
