''Ramones – Around the World'' is a 1998 video of the New York City punk band The Ramones. It consists of home video footage from Marky Ramone Marc Steven Bell (born July 15, 1952) is an American drummer. He began playing in hard rock bands in the New York City area, notably Dust and Estus. He was asked to drum for punk rock band Richard Hell and the Voidoids. He replaced drummer Tommy ... of the band's extensive touring and backstage footage along with live performances, and is considered by critics to give a much more accurate picture of the band than later, slicker productions, such as '' Ramones: Raw''. Ramones Around The World
The Ramones were an American punk rock band that formed in the New York City neighborhood of Forest Hills, Queens, in 1974. They are often cited as the first true punk rock group. Despite achieving a limited commercial appeal in the United States during their time together, the band saw more success in England and Brazil, and are today seen as highly influential. All of the band members adopted pseudonyms ending with the surname "Ramone", although none of them were biologically related; they were inspired by Paul McCartney, who would check into hotels as "Paul Ramon". The Ramones performed 2,263 concerts, touring virtually nonstop for 22 years. In 1996, after a tour with the Lollapalooza music festival, they played We're Outta Here!, a farewell concert in Los Angeles and disbanded.
