Ramona Neubert ( Göhler, later Raulf, born 26 July 1958 in Pirna, Bezirk Dresden) is a former heptathlete from East Germany. Her biggest triumph was winning the world title at the inaugural 1983 World Championships in Helsinki, Finland. Pirna
Pirna (; hsb, Pěrno; ) is a town in Saxony, Germany and capital of the administrative district Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge. The town's population is over 37,000. Pirna is located near Dresden and is an important district town as well as a ''Große Kreisstadt''. Heptathlon
A heptathlon is a track and field combined events contest made up of seven events. The name derives from the Greek επτά (hepta, meaning "seven") and ἄθλος (áthlos, or ἄθλον, áthlon, meaning "competition"). A competitor in a heptathlon is referred to as a heptathlete. There are two heptathlons – the men's and the women's heptathlon – composed of different events.
