Ramnagar is a town and notified area committee in Udhampur District in the Indian States and union territories of India, union territory of Jammu and Kashmir (union territory), Jammu and Kashmir. Ramnagar Town Ramanagar is a historical small town situated in Udhampur District of Jammu and Kashmir. Ramnagar is named after its last ruler, King Ram Singh of Ramanagar. Ramnagar ( Kumaoni: ''Rāmnagar'') is a town and municipal board in the Nainital district of Kumaon, India. It is located approximately from Nainital, the headquarters of the district. Ramnagar is a gateway to the Corbett National Park, the oldest national park and a famous tourist destination. Ramnagar Fort
The Ramnagar Fort is a fortification in Ramnagar, Varanasi, India. It is located near the Ganges on its eastern bank, opposite to the Tulsi Ghat. The sandstone structure was built in the Rajputana style in 1750 by Kashi Naresh Maharaja Balwant Singh. The current king and the resident of the fort is Anant Narayan Singh, who is also known as the Maharaja of Benares even though this royal title has been abolished since 1971. Geography The fort is at a scenic location on the eastern right bank of the Ganges River, opposite to the Varanasi Ghats. It is from Varanasi and from the Benares Hindu University by the newly built Ramnagar bridge. With the bridge built it hardly takes 10 minutes to reach the fort from BHU.
