Rami Greenberg
Rami Greenberg (born 18 May 1978) is an Israeli Politician, currently serving as the Mayor of Petah Tikva. Biography Greenberg was born in Neve Yarak, and grew up in Petah Tikva. at the age of 14, he was elected to serve as the chairman of the city's Likud youth, and at the age of 16, was elected to serve as the chair of the national Likud youth. During his time in the Israel Defense Forces, Greenberg served as an officer in the Duvdevan Unit. He subsequently joined the Israeli Police, serving as a detective. He subsequently studied Criminal law in the Academic Center for Law and Science, becoming a Lawyer. From 2003 to 2006, Greenberg worked in Hod HaSharon's Department of Security, and served as a member of the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Drom HaSharon Regional Council. Petah Tikva ( he, פֶּתַח תִּקְוָה, , ), also known as ''Em HaMoshavot'' (), is a city in the Central District (Israel), Central District of Israel, east of Tel Aviv. It was founded in 1878, mainly by Haredi Judaism, Haredi Jews of the Old Yishuv, and became a permanent settlement in 1883 with the financial help of Edmond James de Rothschild, Baron Edmond de Rothschild. 2018 Israeli Municipal Elections
Municipal elections were held in Israel on October 30, 2018. A run-off was held on November 13 in localities where a candidate for mayor received at least 40% of the vote. For the first time, the four local councils in Druze localities in the Golan Heights were up for election. Elections were held in all 54 regional councils, 122 out of 124 local councils, and 75 out of 77 cities. The cities of Baqa al-Gharbiyye and Tayibe, as well as the local council of Jatt, did not hold elections, as elections were held there in 2015. In Tel Mond, a local council, a split commission is currently serving.
