Rameshwar Mahto
Rameshwar Kumar Mahto is an Indian politician and member of the Bihar Legislative Council. Mahto is a member of Janata Dal (United) political party. Life and political career Rameswar Mahto was born to Ramprakash Mahto at the Bhasar village in the Sitamarhi district of Bihar. He is the member of Bihar Legislative Council and has remained the organisational head of the Janata Dal (United). Mahto is an industrialist besides being a politician and he has remained associated with the party for long. Besides being a participant in active politics of the state of Bihar, he also runs business of crockery and marbles. Mahto has served as the district head of JD(U) for Madhubani. Bihar Vidhan Parishad, also known as Bihar Legislative Council, is the upper house of the bicameral Bihar Legislature of the state of Bihar in India. History A new Province of Bihar and Odisha was created by the Government of India on 12 December 1911. The Legislative Council with a total of 43 members belonging to different categories was formed in 1912. The first sitting of the Council was convened on 20 January 1913 at Patna College Bankipore. In 1920 Bihar and Orissa declared governor province, as per Government of India Act 1919. As per Government of India Act 1935 Bihar and Orissa was split into separate provinces of Bihar and Orissa. Janata Dal (United) ("People’s Party (United)”) abbreviated as JD(U) is an Indian political party with political presence mainly in eastern and north-eastern India. JD(U) is recognised as a state party in the states of Bihar , Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur and is a part of government in Bihar. Sitamarhi
Sitamarhi is an Indian city and the district headquarters of the Sitamarhi district in the Mithila region of Bihar and is a part of the Tirhut Division. It dates back to the time of Ramayana and is considered as the place where Janaka found Sita. The Bihar government declared Sitamarhi a municipal council. A temple dedicated to Sita, the main subject of the epic Ramayana, is located at Punaura Dham Sitamarhi. A rock-cut sanctuary from the great Mauryan period is found near Sitamarhi. Upendra Kushwaha
Upendra Singh Kushwaha (born 6 February 1960) is an Indian politician and Member of Legislative Council of Bihar assembly. He was the former Minister of State for Human Resources and Development in the Government of India. He is former MP from the Karakat constituency in Rohtas district, Bihar. He is a former member of the Rajya Sabha. He was the leader of his own party the Rashtriya Lok Samata Party, until it merged with Janata Dal (United) in 2021. Nitish Kumar (born 1 March 1951) is an Indian politician, who is serving as Chief Minister of Bihar since 22 February 2015, having previous held the office from 2005 to 2014 and for a short period in 2000.
