Ramberg, Flakstad
Ramberg is the administrative centre of Flakstad Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The village is located on the island of Flakstadøya in the Lofoten archipelago. It has approximately 350 inhabitants. The European route E10 highway passes through Ramberg. Ramberg has a library, a small shopping centre with a supermarket including postal services, an unmanned petrol station, a restaurant and pub, and a bank. The youth club regularly shows films in the community hall which is also used for functions. Ramberg school, located by the beach, caters for students from 1st to 10th grade and has both a swimming pool and a high standard synthetic grass soccer field. Ramberg is also famous for its white sand beach. Norway's Crown Prince, Prince Haakon kited at Ramberg beach during the Easter holidays in 2012. Flakstad Church is located about northeast of Ramberg. Other villages include Fredvang, Napp, Nusfjord, and Vareid. Pomor Trade
Pomor trade (from rus, Поморье, r=pomorje, p=pɐˈmorʲjɪ; ''po'' «by» and ''more'' «ocean»; «area by the ocean», the same word is the basis for Pomerania), is the trade carried out between the Pomors of Northwest Russia and the people along the coast of Northern Norway, as far south as Bodø. The trade went on from 1740 until the Russian revolution in 1917. The pomor trade began as a barter trade between people in the area, trading grain products from Russia with fish from North Norway as the main trade. Flakstad Church ( no, Flakstad kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Flakstad Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Flakstad. Flakstadøya is an island in the Lofoten archipelago in Nordland county, Norway. The entire island lies within Flakstad Municipality with the Vestfjorden on the east side of the island and the Norwegian Sea on the west side of the island.
