Ramazanoğlu Cultural Center is a complex in the Karşıyaka quarter of the city of Adana. The centre is composed of a theatre hall, public library and an exhibition hall. Yüreğir is a district-municipality in the Adana Province of Turkey. It is the second most populated district of the province with a population of over 400,000, mostly concentrated on the east side of the Seyhan River, Seyhan river, within the city of Adana. Etymology Yüreğir tribe is a branch the Oğuz Turks, from whom most of the Anatolian Turks are descended. History Yüreğir tribe was the first Turkish tribe to settle in Cilicia starting from 1352. They came to the area in flight from Mongol invasions of their homelands in central Asia. They founded villages, at today's Yüreğir district. Adana was subsequently settled and resettled by many other peoples including other Turkish dynasties but they were first and the name was given to the area in their memory much later (in the early 20th century). Karşıyaka () is a district of İzmir Province in Turkey. The district extends for twelve kilometres along the northern and eastern coastline of the tip of the Gulf of İzmir. Its centre is at a distance of to the north from the traditional centre of İzmir, which is Konak Square in Konak, İzmir, Konak at the opposite coast. Ramazanoğlu Cultural Center - Theatre Hall
The Ramadanid Emirate (Modern Turkish: ''Ramazanoğulları Beyliği'') was an autonomous administration and a ''de facto'' independent emirate that existed from 1352 to 1608 in Cilicia, taking over the rule of the region from the Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia. The emirate was a protectorate of the Mamluk Sultanate until the end of 14th century, then it was de facto independent for more than a century, and then, from 1517, a protectorate of the Ottoman Empire.
