Ramata Ly-Bakayoko
Ramata Ly-Bakayoko (born 29 June 1955) is an Ivorian academic and government official. She served as Ivory Coast's Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research from 2016 to 2018. She was appointed Minister of Women, Families, and Children in 2018. She was appointed permanent delegate of Côte d'Ivoire to UNESCO with residence in Paris on September 8, 2021. Biography Ly-Bakayoko was born in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, in 1955. She earned degrees in dental surgery from Paris Diderot University in 1980 and in dental science from Paris Descartes University in 1985. Ly-Bakayoko was a professor of pediatric dentistry. She headed the pediatric dentistry department at the University of Cocody (now Université Félix Houphouët-Boigny) in Abidjan, later becoming vice-dean of the faculty of dentistry, then vice-president of the university. Mariatou Koné
Mariatou Koné is an Ivorian academic and a professor of Anthropology at the Université Félix Houphouët-Boigny who was appointed Minister of Solidarity, Women and Child Protection in 2017. Koné is the Peace Mediator for ECOWAS and WANEP since 2013 and coordinator of the Environmental and Land Studies Laboratory of Côte d'Ivoire (LEEFCI). Background and career Koné attended the Catholic Primary School (EPC) for girls in Daoukro between 1971 and 1977 and finished with a Certificate of Elementary Primary Studies (CEPE). She began her secondary education at Lycée Félix Houphouët Boigny in Korhogo, transferred to  Lycée Moderne in Sassandra and then to Lycée moderne in Man. Koné graduated with Brevet d'Etudes du Premier Cycle (BEPC) in 1981 and an A4 series baccalaureate in 1984. The name traces back to Plato's school of philosophy, founded approximately 385 BC at Akademia, a sanctuary of Athena, the goddess of wisdom and skill, north of Athens, Greece.
