Telangana Legislative Assembly
The Telangana Legislative Assembly or Telangana Śāsana Sabha is the lower house of the Telangana Legislature. The Legislative Assembly of Telangana currently consists of 119 elected members and 1 nominated member from the Anglo-Indian community. Its chief engineer was Nawab Sarwar Jung. The members of the ''Vidhana Sabha'' are directly elected by people through adult franchise. Each constituency elects one member of the assembly. Members are popularly known as M.L.A's. The United Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election of 2009 took place in April 2009, concurrently with the 2009 Indian general election. 2014 Telangana Legislative Assembly Election
The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election, 2014 took place on 30 April and 7 May 2014 to elect members to the legislatures of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. It was held concurrently with the Indian general election. The results were declared on 16 May 2014. The Telugu Desam Party led by N. 2018 Telangana Legislative Assembly Election
The Telangana Legislative Assembly election was held in Telangana on 7 December 2018 to constitute the second Legislative Assembly since the formation of the state in 2014. The incumbent Telangana Rashtra Samithi, the Indian National Congress, BJP, Telangana Jana Samithi, and Telugu Desam Party were the main contestants in the election. Korukanti Chandar Patel (born 23 September 1972) is an elected representative from Ramagundam constituency in the Telangana Legislative Assembly. In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, he defeated his nearest rival, Somarapu Satyanarayana, by a margin of 26,090 votes.
