Ramachandra (film)
''Ramachandra'' is a 2003 Indian Tamil-language action film, directed by Raj Kapoor, starring Sathyaraj and Vijayalakshmi. The film, produced by Singanamala Ramesh, had musical score by Deva and was released on 15 January 2003 to mixed reviews. It is a remake of the 1995 Telugu film ''Khaidi Inspector'' starring Suman. Plot Ramachandran ( Sathyaraj) is a police inspector who is sentenced to the death penalty. His teammates release him in secret and Ramachandran begins by killing the criminals one by one. Raj Kapoor (Tamil Film Director)
Raj Kapoor (born 15 August 1958) is an Indian film director and actor, who has worked predominantly in Tamil cinema. He introduced cinematic techniques in his Tamil serial ''Nandini'' causing a huge hype in south Indian film industry. He has also appeared as a supporting actor in Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films. Career Raj Kapoor started his cinema career as an assistant director to Film director C. V. Mahanadi Shankar is an Indian stage, film and television actor, who has appeared in Tamil language films and serials as supporting actor and negative roles. Raaga
A ''raga'' or ''raag'' (; also ''raaga'' or ''ragam''; ) is a melodic framework for improvisation in Indian classical music akin to a melodic mode. Tamil Nadu State Film Awards
Tamil Nadu State Film Awards were given for excellence in Tamil cinema in India. They were given annually to honour the best talents and provide encouragement and incentive to the South Indian film industry by the Government of Tamil Nadu. The awards were decided by a committee headed by a Judge. The awards were first given in 1967 and discontinued after 1970. The awards were given again in 1977 and continued till 1982. The awards were not given in the years 1971 to 1976. However, in the year 1977, the awards for Best Actress and Best Actor were announced for the years 1971 to 1976 by way of honorary certificates by the government led by the then chief minister M.G.Ramachandran. Since 1988, the awards were regularly given until it became defunct in 2008.
