Ram Soraya
Raam Lalchand Pridhani, better known as Raam Soraya or Ram Soraya, is an entrepreneur and film producer from Indonesia. He is the owner of production house . He was born in an Indian-Indonesian ( Sindhi) family in Surabaya, Indonesia on 4 November 1949. Before the film industry, he was a textile importer. His career in film began as a distributor for East Java (1972 to 1982). He became a producer in the ' (1983) which won Best Film at the Indonesian Film Festival (FFI) 1984. The film being the result of his own company, PT. Soraya Intercine Films. After that he made films including ' (1985), ''Permainan Yang Nakal'' (1986), ' (1987) and others. Indian Indonesians ( id, Orang India Indonesia; ta, இந்திய இந்தோனேசியர்) are Indonesians whose ancestors whose ancestors originally came from the Indian subcontinent. Therefore, this term can be regarded as a blanket term for not only Indonesian Indian proper, but also Indonesians with other South Asian ancestry (e.g. Pakistanis, Bangladeshis etc.). The Indonesian Film Festival (Indonesian: Festival Film Indonesia, 'FFI') is an annual awards ceremony organised by the Indonesian Film Board and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology to celebrate cinematic achievements in the Indonesian film industry. Warkop DKI
Warkop (an abbreviation of Warung Kopi, meaning "coffee stall") were an Indonesian comedy troupe that enjoyed success in radio, films and television over the 1980s and 1990s. Assembled in Jakarta on 1976 under Prambors management, they initially went by the name Warkop Prambors. They soon burgeoned as the country's top comedy group, surpassing Srimulat and Jakarta Group. After their film debut, they settled on the name Warkop DKI (taken from the initials of the three main members: Dono, Kasino and Indro; and also a play on Jakarta's official name, DKI Jakarta).
