Ram Naresh Ram
Ram Naresh Ram (16 August 1924 – 26 October 2010); popularly known as Parasji, was a member of Bihar Legislative Assembly between 1995 and 2010, representing Sahar Assembly constituency from CPI-ML Liberation party. Political career Ram Naresh Ram joined in the Communist Party of India in 1951. After the fraction he joined in CPI (M). In 1967, he became the CPI(M) candidate in the Bihar Assembly elections. Ekwari
Ekwari is a village in the Sahar Block of the Bhojpur district in the Indian state of Bihar. Bhojpur district is a part of the Patna division. Surroundings Ekwari is on the district border and adjacent to Arwal district to the southeast and Patna district to the northeast. It is 35 km south of the district headquarters in Arrah, 7 km from Sahar and the Sone River. It is 76 km southwest of state capital Patna. 1970 Bhojpur Uprising
Bhojpur uprising refers to the class conflict manifested in armed uprising of the 1970s, that took place in the various villages of the Bhojpur district, India, Bhojpur district of Bihar. These clashes were part of the Naxalite-Maoist insurgency in the state, which mobilised the agricultural labourers and the poor peasants against the landlords, primarily belonging to Forward Caste, upper-castes. A distinguished feature of these insurgencies were their confinement to the villages, and the nine towns of the Bhojpur district remained unaffected from the periodic skirmishes between the armed groups. One of the reason sought for this peculiar feature is the absence of modern industries in the district. Naxalbari Uprising
Naxalbari uprising was an armed peasant revolt in 1967 in the Naxalbari block of Siliguri subdivision in Darjeeling district, West Bengal, India. It was mainly led by tribals and the radical communists leaders of Bengal and further developed into the Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) in 1969. The armed struggle became an inspiration to the naxalite movement which rapidly spread from West Bengal to other states of India creating division within in to the CPI(M) Party. Origins The uprising occurred during the height Sino-Soviet split, which was causing turmoil within the communist organisations in India and the rest of the world. The leader and ideologue of the uprising Charu Majumdar theorised that the situation was appropriate for launching an armed People's war in India following the Chinese Revolution (1949), Vietnam War and Cuban Revolution.
