Joseph William Ralls (born 12 October 1993) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Cardiff City. After playing at youth level for local teams Aldershot Town and Farnborough, Ralls joined the youth academy at Cardiff City after being spotted by scouts from the club. He made his professional debut for the ''Bluebirds'' in August 2011 before joining Yeovil Town on a season-long loan deal for the 2013–14 season to gain experience. On his return to Cardiff, Ralls established himself in the first-team and has made over 200 appearances for the club in all competitions. John Perkins Ralls
John Perkins Ralls, Sr. (January 1, 1822 – November 22, 1904) was a physician and representative from the state of Alabama to the Congress of the Confederate States during the American Civil War, not to be confused with John Rawls the 20th-century American philosopher. Ralls was born in Greensboro, Georgia, on New Years Day, 1822. He attended medical school in Augusta, Georgia and Paris, France, and established a practice in Gadsden, Alabama. He married Agnes Mary Hamilton. They would eventually have eight children. He represented Cherokee County, AL as a delegate to the Alabama secession convention in early 1861. He represented the state in the First Confederate Congress from 1862 to 1864. Following the war, he was a delegate to the Alabama state constitutional convention in 1875. Katherine S. Ralls is an American zoologist and conservationist who is Senior Research Zoologist Emerita at the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute, National Zoological Park. Ralls' research interests are in the behavioral ecology, genetics, and conservation of mammals, both terrestrial and marine. Since 1980, she has focused on conservation biology, especially the genetic problems of small captive and wild populations. Two mammals that she has studied extensively are the sea otter and the San Joaquin kit fox. Some of her research is on the genetic management of wild and captive animal populations. Dr. R. Scott Ralls is the fourth president of Wake Technical Community College. He was selected on December 6, 2007 as president of the North Carolina Community College System, serving from 2008-2015. In 2015, Dr. Ralls became president of Northern Virginia Community College. William Ralls Morrison (September 14, 1824 – September 29, 1909) was a U.S. Representative from Illinois. Early life and career Born on a farm at Prairie du Long, near the present town of Waterloo, Illinois, Morrison attended the common schools and McKendree College in Lebanon, Illinois. He served in the war with Mexico. He went to California with the gold seekers in 1849, but returned to Illinois in 1851. He studied law, was admitted to the bar in 1855, and commenced practice in Waterloo, Illinois. Morrison served as clerk of the circuit court of Monroe County, Illinois, from 1852 to 1854 and as member of the State house of representatives 1854–1860, 1870, and 1871; he served as speaker in 1859 and 1860. Ralls County is a county located in the northeastern portion of the U.S. state of Missouri. As of the 2020 census, the population was 10,355. Its county seat is New London. The county was organized November 16, 1820 and named for Daniel Ralls, Missouri state legislator. Ralls County is part of the Hannibal, MO Micropolitan Statistical Area, which is also included in the Quincy-Hannibal, IL-MO Combined Statistical Area. History Ralls County was one of several along the Mississippi River settled in the early years primarily by European-American migrants from the Upper South, especially Kentucky and Tennessee. Ralls is a city in Crosby County, Texas, United States. It was named after John Robinson Ralls, who with the help of W.E. McLaughlin, laid out the townsite in July 1911. As of the 2010 census, it had a population of 1,944, down from 2,252 at the 2000 census. Ralls is surrounded by productive farm lands that primarily produce cotton and grains, with lesser amounts of soybean, sunflower seed, and vegetables. Geography Ralls is an agricultural community located on the level plains of the Llano Estacado between Lorenzo to the west and Crosbyton to the east.
