''Rakshak'' () is 1996 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Ashok Honda, starring Sunil Shetty, Karisma Kapoor, Raghuvaran, Sonali Bendre, Alok Nath and Aruna Irani. It is a remake of the Tamil film '' Honest Raj''. Plot Raj and his mother come to visit village. Raj meets his best friend Raghu, and love interest Suman. They eventually marry and Raj becomes and IPS officer. Raghu starts printing fake currency to get rid of his loans and credits and becomes to mafia boss of the village. Raj finds out his secret but is attacked severely by Raghu's goons and his mother and Suman get killed. Dr. Pooja Malhotra treats him to recover and revenge his friend turned enemy Raghu. ''Honest Raj'' is a 1994 Indian Tamil language, Tamil-language action thriller film directed by K. S. Ravi. Ponnambalam (actor)
Ponnambalam (born 11 November 1963) is an Indian actor and stuntman who has predominantly appeared in Tamil language films. He is best known for playing antagonistic roles in Indian films during the 1990s, notably appearing in films such as '' Nattamai'' (1994), '' Muthu'' (1995) and ''Amarkalam'' (1999). Later in his career, Ponnambalam also appeared in a few leading roles, while also taking up the mantle of director and producer. Poornima Shrestha (born 6 September 1960 as Sushma Shrestha), is an Indian playback singer. Starting as a child singer, she later reinvented into a leading playback singer in Bollywood during the 1990s. Vinod Rathod (born 12 September 1962) is an Indian playback singer who primarily sings in Bollywood films. Rathod is the son of late classical musician, Pandit Chaturbhuj Rathod.
