Rajya Sabha Members From West Bengal
The Rajya Sabha (meaning the "Council of States") is the upper house of the Parliament of India. West Bengal elects 16 seats and they are indirectly elected by the state legislators of West Bengal. The number of seats, allocated to the party, are determined by the number of seats a party possesses during nomination and the party nominates a member to be voted on. Jawhar Sircar
Jawhar Sircar (born 22 March 1952) is a retired Indian Administrative Services officer, who is prominent as a public intellectual, speaker and writer. He has been elected as a Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, the upper house of Parliament on 2 August 2021 on an AITC ticket to represent State of West Bengal. Chitta Basu (politician)
Chitta Basu (25 December 1926 – 5 October 1997) was an Indian politician and a leader of the All India Forward Bloc. He served as the General Secretary of the party from 1977 till his death in 1997. In his obituary, ''The Indian Express'' described Basu as belonging to the rare tribe of politicians who did politics for a cause and practiced what they preached. Satyapriya Banerjee
Satyapriya Banerjee (born 25 August 1893, d. 1957) was an Indian politician and trade unionist. Early years Banerjee went to Berlin for studies, and obtained Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws degrees. In 1920 he founded the Samaj Sevak Sangh.
