Raji–Raute Languages
Raji–Raute is a branch of the Sino-Tibetan language family that includes the three closely related languages, namely Raji, Raute, and Rawat. They are spoken by small hunter-gatherer communities in the Terai region of Nepal and in neighboring Uttarakhand, India. Like some other Tibeto-Burman languages, Raji-Raute languages have voiceless sonorants. Sunita Rajwar
Sunita Chand Rajwar is an Indian film, television and stage actress who graduated from the National School of Drama (NSD), New Delhi in 1997. She acted in Sanjay Khanduri's directorial debut ''Ek Chalis Ki Last Local'' as the gangster Chakli, where she was nominated for a Max Stardust Award 2008 in the category Breakthrough Performance – Female. Early life Rajwar was born in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh and raised in her home town Haldwani, Uttarakhand. She is second of three children, went to Nirmala Convent School, and later pursued her post-graduation from Kumaun University in Nanital. She graduated from the National School of Drama (NSD) in New Delhi in 1997. Rajuar
Rajuar (also spelt as Rajuala, Rajuad) is a shifting cultivation community. The people of this community mainly live in Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and West Bengal. The community living in Odisha is considered a Scheduled Tribe while the people living in other states are considered as OBC. Overview The people living in Odisha are mostly from the Nagbansi group and they live in Mayurbhanj and Baleshwar districts. In 1931 census, their population in Mayurbhanj was 1014 and distributed in Nij Majhalbagh (4), Deuli (34), Asankhali (459) and Khanua (44) of Baripada subdivision; Gartal (6), Khauta (69), Saranda (92) of Bamanghati subdivision; Khunta Karkachia (127), Dukura (142) of Kaptipda subdivision; There was no return from Panchpir subdivision and their literacy rate was 0.39 per cent (only four people). Rajbhar
The Rajbhar (also spelled Rajbhaar) are a community of the state of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, India, Punjab, Bihar, Nepal and other states of India.. The rajbhar are traditionally laborers. Influenced by the Arya Samaj movement, bhars started using rajbhar, Baijnath Prasad Adhyapak published ''Rajbhar Jati ka Itihas'' in 1940. Musahar
Musahar or Mushahar are a Dalit community found in the eastern Gangetic plain and the Terai. They are also known as ''Banbasi''.The other names of the Musahar are Bhuiyan and Rajawar Their name literally means 'rat-eater' due to their main former occupation of catching rats, and there are many who are still forced to do this work due to destitution and poverty. Origins and history In Bihar, the word Musahar is said to be derived from the Bhojpuri ''mūs+ahar'' (literally ''rat eater''), on account of their traditional occupation as rat catchers. According to a local legend, Lord Brahma created man and gave him the horse to ride. The first Musahar decided to dig holes in the belly of the horse to fix his feet as he rode. This offended Lord Brahma, who cursed him and his descendants to be rat-catchers. Herbert Hope Risley, in his 1881 survey of castes and tribes of Bengal, speculated that the Musahars were an offshoot of the hunter-gatherer Bhuiya from the Chota Nagpur Plateau ...
