Rajpara ( bn, রাজপাড়া) is a ''thana'' of Rajshahi District in the division of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. Geography Rajpara is located at . It has 15 households and total area 25 km2. Demographics According to the 2011 Bangladesh census, Rajpara had a population of 137,318 (males 51.23%, females 48.77). Muslims were 93.68% of the population, Hindus 4.50%, Christians 0.97% and others 0.85%. Rajpara had a literacy rate of 73.92% for the population 7 years and above. Thanas Of Bangladesh
Thana or Thânâ ( bn, থানা literally "police station") mean the district controlled by a police station. History Thana was a subdistrict in the administrative geography of Bangladesh. The Local Government Ordinance of 1982 was amended a year later, redesignating and upgrading the existing ''thanas'' as ''upazilas''. Later in 1999 geographic regions under administrations of thanas were converted into upazilas. All administrative terms in this level were renamed from ''thana'' to ''upazila''. The word thana is now used to solely refer to police stations. Generally, there is one police station for each upazila. Rajshahi Division ( bn, রাজশাহী বিভাগ) is one of the eight first-level administrative divisions of Bangladesh. It has an area of and a population at the 2011 Census of 18,484,858. Rajshahi Division consists of 8 districts, 70 Upazilas (the next lower administrative tier) and 1,092 Unions (the lowest administrative tier). Rajshahi District ( bn, রাজশাহী জেলা) is a district in mid-western Bangladesh. It is a part of the Rajshahi Division. The metropolitan city of Rajshahi is in Rajshahi District. Geography Rajshahi district is bounded by Naogaon District to the north, Natore District to the east, Chapai Nababganj District to west and little part of Kushtia District & the river Padma to the south. 2011 Bangladesh Census
In 2011, the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics, conducted a national census in Bangladesh, which provided a provisional estimate of the total population of the country as 142,319,000. The previous decennial census was the 2001 census. Data were recorded from all of the districts and upazilas and main cities in Bangladesh including statistical data on population size, households, sex and age distribution, marital status, economically active population, literacy and educational attainment, religion, number of children etc. Bangladesh and India also conducted their first joint census of areas along their border in 2011. According to the census, Hindus constituted 8.5 per cent of the population as of 2011, down from 9.6 per cent in the 2001 census. Bangladesh have a population of 144,043,697 as per 2011 census report. Government Laboratory High School Rajshahi
Government Laboratory High School, Rajshahi is a secondary school in Rajshahi, Bangladesh. It was established in 1969 as the laboratory of Rajshahi Teacher's Training College to establish an ideal school. The founding headmaster was Izharul Haque. Every year a large number of students sit for an admission test, and only a few of these can enter. The motto of the school is "Enter to Learn, Leave to Serve." The school has an alumni association: ORLABS (Old Rajshahi Laboratorians Society). An ''upazila'' ( bn, উপজেলা, upôzela, lit=sub-district pronounced: ), formerly called ''thana'', is an administrative region in Bangladesh, functioning as a sub-unit of a district.
