Rajesh Tandon
Rajesh Tandon ( hi, राजेश टंडन) is an Indian practitioner of participatory research and development. His work in this field has focused on relationships between the researcher and researched subjects. Early life and education Rajesh Tandon was born in a middle-class family in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh and did his schooling there. He went to IIT Kanpur to study Electronics Engineer. He completed his post graduation in management from IIM Calcutta. He received his PhD from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, United States. Career He started his professional career in the development sector as an active intervener in the processes of social change in rural areas of India. While working with villagers on educational training, he observed the power of new learning opportunities in the hands of those who have otherwise been denied such access. The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are central government owned public technical institutes located across India. They are under the ownership of the Ministry of Education of the Government of India. 2015 Park Palace Guesthouse Attack
On 13 May 2015, three gunmen stormed the Park Palace guesthouse in Kabul, Afghanistan. The attack is believed to be part of the Taliban's annual spring offensive against NATO's presence in the country. Background Shortly before a concert was due to begin, three gunmen stormed the Park Palace Guest House in Kabul. The event was being attended primarily by foreign nationals from Turkey and India but with some US and European nationals in attendance as well. The guesthouse was likely targeted as part of the Taliban's common modus operandi to attack compounds hosting foreigners, which would not mark the first such attack by the Taliban in Afghanistan.
