She also served as Raja Permaisuri Agong of Malaysia from 20 September 1975 to 29 March 1979. Born on 7 August 1917 in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, she was the consort of Sultan Yahya Petra and the mother of the 28th Sultan of Kelantan, HRH Sultan Ismail Petra. The Yang di-Pertuan Agong (, Jawi: ), also known as the Supreme Head of the Federation, the Paramount Ruler or simply as the Agong, and unofficially as the King of Malaysia, is the constitutional monarch and head of state of Malaysia.
