Raja Club Athletic ( ar, نادي الرجاء الرياضي, Nādī ar-Rajāʾ ar-Riyāḍī, zgh, ⴰⵙⵔⵉⵔ ⵏ ⵕⴰⵊⴰ ⴰⵎⴰⵏⵓⵏ), commonly referred to as Raja CA, Raja Casablanca or simply RCA is a professional football club based in Casablanca, Morocco, that competes in Botola, the top flight of Moroccan football. Founded on 20 March 1949 in the district of Derb Sultan, the club has traditionally worn a green home kit since inception. Raja CA is a well known club for the success of its football section, very popular in and outside the country. Raja sits at the for training and plays home games in the 67,000 capacity Stade Mohammed V in downtown Casablanca since 1955. The Mohammed V Stadium ( ar, ملعب محمد الخامس, french: Stade Mohammed V) is a multi-purpose stadium which is part of the Mohammed V Athletic Complex () which is named after King Mohammed V and situated at the heart of Casablanca, Morocco, in the western part of the Maârif neighborhood. The stadium has a seating capacity of 67,000, making it the largest and the oldest football stadium in Morocco. It primarily hosts association football matches, serving as the home ground of the Morocco national football team and local rival football clubs Wydad AC and Raja CA. In 1997, the stadium set a record of attendance of 110,000 during the Casablanca football derby and a match between the Moroccan national team against Ghana. Salaheddine Bassir ( ar, صلاح الدين بصير; born 5 September 1972) is a Moroccan former professional footballer who played as a striker. He played for a few clubs, including Raja Casablanca, Al-Hilal (Saudi Arabia) and Deportivo La Coruña in Spain with whom he won la liga and copa del rey. He then played for OSC Lille (France) and Aris Thessaloniki (Greece). He retired at the end of 2005 season. Whilst at Lille Bassir scored a goal against Olympiacos in the UEFA Champions League and once against Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Europa League.
