Raja Club Athletic, widely known as Raja Casablanca or simply Raja, is a Football team, football club based in Casablanca, Morocco, that competes in Botola, the top flight of Moroccan football league system, Moroccan football. Founded on 20 March 1949 in the district of Derb Sultan, the club has traditionally worn a green home kit since inception. Raja is a well known club for the success of its football section, very popular in and outside the country. The club sits at the Raja CA Academy for training and plays home games in the Stade Mohammed V since 1955. Unlike most African sporting entities, Raja's members have owned and operated the club throughout its history. The club is one of the most widely supported teams in Africa. Raja is one of two founding members of Botola that have List of unrelegated association football clubs, never been relegated from the top division with Wydad AC and AS FAR (football club), AS FAR. Stade Mohammed V
The Mohammed V Stadium ( ar, ملعب محمد الخامس, french: Stade Mohammed V) is a multi-purpose stadium which is part of the Mohammed V Athletic Complex () which is named after King Mohammed V and situated at the heart of Casablanca, Morocco, in the western part of the Maârif neighborhood. The stadium has a seating capacity of 67,000, making it the largest and the oldest football stadium in Morocco. It primarily hosts association football matches, serving as the home ground of the Morocco national football team and local rival football clubs Wydad AC and Raja CA. In 1997, the stadium set a record of attendance of 110,000 during the Casablanca football derby and a match between the Moroccan national team against Ghana. The same record attendance was repeated during Morocco's match against Argentina in 2004.
