Junctions (software)
Junctions is a software package by Transport Research Laboratory. It incorporates the previously separate programs ARCADY, PICADY and OSCADY. The latest version, Junctions 10, was launched Wednesday 3 February 2021. ARCADY ARCADY (Assessment of Roundabout Capacity And DelaY) models traffic capacity, queues, and delays at roundabouts. The software is largely based on empirical relationships between roundabout geometry and capacity, which were established as the result of extensive research carried out on existing roundabouts on the UK road network, as well as controlled test track facilities. The program is used by traffic engineers when assessing existing layouts or when analysing the impacts of proposed design changes. Estimates of annual accident frequencies can also be obtained. The key outputs are the Ratio of Flow to Capacity, the queue length, and delay time. The capacity and safety relationships that ARCADY utilizes are discussed in the UK's Design Manual for Roads ...

Junction Station (other)
''Junction station'' usually refers to a railway station situated on or close to a junction where lines to several destinations diverge. The usual minimum is three incoming lines. At a station with platforms running from left to right, the minimum to qualify as a junction station would usually be one line on the left and two on the right (or vice versa). This is not to be confused with a station where there is one through line, but single track on one side while double track on the other. In this case, all trains passing through the station can reach only one destination as their next station. Commonly, junction stations have multiple platform faces to enable trains for multiple destinations to stand at the station at the same time, but this is not necessary. There are many stations with the word 'junction' in their title, such as those below: In Australia *Bondi Junction railway station *Eagle Junction railway station In Canada *Hervey-Jonction railway station *Sudbury Junctio ...

Junction (investment Platform)
Junction is a San Francisco-based online investment platform that allows accredited investors to purchase limited partnership interests in funds that invest in major motion pictures. It differs from donation-based crowdfunding for film as members of Junction receive investments indirectly in the film projects rather than gifts, and the projects listed on Junction are already fully financed. Investors become limited partners in a fund that has economic exposure to the project through an investment agreement with one of the film's financiers. Junction's business is facilitated by the United States Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act, the passage of which in 2012 created new avenues for companies to solicit investments. History Junction was founded in 2012 by Adam Kaufman, a former Goldman Sachs banker, and Brian Goldsmith, a former CBS News producer. As of March 2014, their team includes a former Google engineer, a onetime technology employee at Goldman, and a former lawyer at Crava ...
