Raincliffe School
Raincliffe School was a comprehensive secondary school, with Business and Enterprise College status, in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England. On 31 August 2012, Raincliffe School formally closed, entering a federation with nearby Graham School. For many years the school held an annual fell run, called the Muddy Rut, in which the entire student roll would race through Raincliffe Woods. On 23 June 2017, the Raincliffe school site (Graham lower school) closed due to falling pupil numbers. Belle Amie were an English pop girl group based in London. They were formed during the seventh series of ''The X Factor'' in 2010. Sir Gavin Alexander Williamson (born 25 June 1976) is a British politician who most recently served as Minister of State without Portfolio from 25 October to 8 November 2022. He has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for South Staffordshire since 2010. A member of the Conservative Party, Williamson previously served in Theresa May's Cabinet as Government Chief Whip from 2016 to 2017 and Secretary of State for Defence from 2017 to 2019, and as Secretary of State for Education under Boris Johnson from 2019 to 2021. Business and Enterprise Colleges (BECs) were introduced in 2002 as part of the Specialist Schools Programme in England. The system enabled secondary schools to specialise in certain fields. Schools that successfully applied to the Specialist Schools Trust and became Business and Enterprise Colleges received extra funding for applied business teaching from this joint private sector and government scheme.
