''Railroaded'' is a 1923 American silent drama film directed by Edmund Mortimer and starring Herbert Rawlinson, Esther Ralston and David Torrence.Munden p.630 Synopsis In England Richard Ragland, the son of a prominent judge, is sent to prison on false evidence. After escaping he changes his name and vows vengeance on the man who put him there. Edmund Mortimer (actor)
Edmund Mortimer (born Edmund Mortimer Olson; August 21, 1874 – May 21, 1944) was an American actor and film director. Early years Mortimer's family was "prominent socially in Brooklyn and Washington". His father (also named Edmund Mortimer Olson) was a captain in the U. S. Navy. As a boy, Mortimer sang in church choirs and participated in other musical activities in Brooklyn. His military service included membership; in the Second Naval Battalion and in Company C, 23rd Regiment. Career Mortimer began acting on stage in 1904 and went on to perform with several theatrical companies. He appeared in more than 250 films between 1913 and 1945. He also directed 23 films between 1918 and 1928, including ''The Arizona Romeo'' (1925). Mike Donlin
Michael Joseph Donlin (May 30, 1878 – September 24, 1933) was an American Major League Baseball (MLB) outfielder and actor. As a professional baseball player, his MLB career spanned from 1899 to 1914 in which he played mainly in the National League for seven teams over 12 seasons. His most notable time was with the New York Giants, where he starred in the outfield for John McGraw's 1904 pennant winners and 1905 World Series champions. One of the finest hitters of the dead-ball era, his .333 career batting average ranks 28th all time and he finished in the top three in batting five times. In each of those same seasons, he also finished in the top ten in the league in on-base percentage, slugging percentage, and home runs.
