RaiSat
RaiSat was a subsidiary of RAI created in 1997 to produce thematic TV channels for satellite television that are now available in IPTV and digital terrestrial television with various providers. History Rai Sat was created as external company in 1997 to create the first satellite channels of public service. In July 1999, with the transfer from Rai's staff that was employed towards thematic channels, the company began to produce the first pay satellite platform networks for Tele+, then reorganized under Sky. In 2009, following the non-renewal of the contract with Sky (Platform for which RaiSat produced exclusively its channels) it was announced that the parent company was preparing to fold RaiSat. Until 18 March 2010, the shareholders of RaiSat were Rai (with 95% shares) and RCS MediaGroup (with 5% shares), On that date, the proportion of shares owned by RCS (equivalent to three million €) was liquidated. Rai (broadcaster)
RAI – Radiotelevisione italiana (; commercially styled as Rai since 2000; known until 1954 as Radio Audizioni Italiane) is the national public broadcasting company of Italy, owned by the Ministry of Economy and Finance. RAI operates many terrestrial and subscription television channels and radio stations. It is one of the biggest broadcasters in Italy competing with Mediaset, and other minor radio and television networks. RAI has a relatively high television audience share of 35.9%. RAI broadcasts are also received in surrounding countries, including Albania, Bosnia, Croatia, France, Malta, Monaco, Montenegro, San Marino, Slovenia, Switzerland, Tunisia and the Vatican City, and elsewhere on pay television and some channels FTA across Europe including UK on the Hotbird satellite. Half of RAI's revenues come from broadcast receiving licence fees, the remainder from the sale of advertising time.

RaiSat Cinema
Rai Movie is an Italian movie television channel, owned by state-owned television network Rai and broadcast on digital terrestrial television in Italy and on satellite platform Tivù Sat. The channel was launched in 2003 as ''RaiSat Cinema World'' and re-badged in 2006 as ''RaiSat Cinema''. On 31 June 2009, RaiSat Cinema was removed of Sky and was launched in the new free-to-view satellite platform Tivùsat. On 18 May 2010 it was renamed ''Rai Movie''. It broadcasts mostly Italian films, interviews, backstages and documentaries. Since 2003 it is the official media partner of the Venice Film Festival and since 2007 of the Rome Film Festival. In April 2019, Rai announced that this channel, along with Rai Premium, will shut down to make place for a new channel called Rai 6, with a female target. Rai Yoyo is an Italian free-to-air television channel owned and operated by state-owned public broadcaster RAI – Radiotelevisione italiana. It is the company's television channel for kids, and is known for its programming for children between the ages of four to seven. History On 1 November 2006, RaiSat Ragazzi was split into two channels: RaiSat Yoyo (for preschoolers) and RaiSat Smash. Notable programs include Il Postino Pat, Little Red Tractor, Fifi and the Flowertots, among others On 31 July 2009, RaiSat Yoyo became a free-to-air channel on the new satellite platform Tivù Sat and was replaced by Nick Jr. on Sky Italia.
