Ragıp Eşref Filiz (born 1 June 1978) is a Turkish author and journalist from Istanbul, Turkey. He is known for his political fiction novel ''Raul Mendez Must Die'' (2013) and for winning the National Tudem Literary Award in 2014 for his short story book ''The Horror Stories From The Anatolia'' . Biography Filiz is the youngest son of Mehmet and Gülbiye Filiz, both educators. In 2001, he completed an undergraduate degree program in the International Relations department of Karadeniz Technical University. He earned a master's degree in International Relations at Istanbul Medeniyet University. Filiz has worked as a voice actor, television announcer, translator and flight attendant.
