Raghuram Bhat
Adwai Raghuram Bhat (born 16 April 1958) is a former Indian cricketer who played in two Test matches in 1983. Domestic career Raghuram Bhat dominated school and junior level games. After some fine performances, he made his Ranji trophy debut in the 1979–80 season against Tamil Nadu at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. He had a slow start to his career taking just one wicket on his debut game. He soon found success at the Ranji level. In just his 6th first class game he picked up 9 wickets against Kerala at Davangere. In the quarterfinal against Punjab he took 9 wickets to help Karnataka reach the semifinals. 1981-82 Semifinal Raghuram Bhat is chiefly remembered for the role he played in Karnataka's victory in the semifinal against Bombay. Ravi Shastri
Ravishankar Jayadritha Shastri (born 27 May 1962) is the former head coach of the India national cricket team, a cricket commentator and former captain of Indian Cricket Team. As a player, he played for the India national cricket team between 1981 and 1992 in both Test matches and One Day Internationals. Although he started his career as a left arm spin bowler, he later transformed into a batting all-rounder. As a cricketer, Shastri was essentially defensive with his trademark "chapati shot" (a flick off the pads), but he could raise his strike rate when required. Due to his above-average height (he stood 6' 3" tall) and an upright stance, he had a limited number of shots against fast bowling, but was able to put the lofted shot to good use against spin bowling. The Delhi cricket team is a first-class cricket team based in Delhi, run by the Delhi District Cricket Association, that plays in India's first class competition, the Ranji Trophy and limited-overs Vijay Hazare Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Sharad Jagannath Diwadkar (11 January 1936, Bombay - 1 March 2005, Mumbai) was a Bombay cricketer. He was an off-spinning all-rounder who played 82 first class matches between 1957-58 and 1973-74. Brijesh Patel (born 24 November 1952) is the incumbent chairman of Indian Premier League and former cricketer who played for the Indian national cricket team as a right-handed batsman from 1974 until 1979. Biography Patel grew up in Bangalore. He played in 21 test matches from 1974 to 1977, and sustained a batting average of 29.45. Ramchandra Sudhakar Rao (born 8 August 1952) is a former Indian cricketer. He played domestic cricket for Karnataka and played one One Day International for India against New Zealand in 1976. Early career Sudhakar Rao grew up in Basavanagudi and studied at the National School. He stayed close to the ground near his school and would play cricket with tennis ball regularly. Hat-trick (cricket)
In cricket, a hat-trick occurs when a bowler takes three wickets with consecutive deliveries. The deliveries may be interrupted by an over bowled by another bowler from the other end of the pitch or the other team's innings, but must be three consecutive deliveries by the individual bowler in the same match. Only wickets attributed to the bowler count towards a hat-trick; run outs do not count, although they can contribute towards a so-called team hat-trick, which is ostensibly a normal hat-trick except that the three successive deliveries can be wickets from any bowler in the team and with any mode of dismissal. Hat-tricks are rare, and as such are treasured by bowlers. The term is also sometimes used to mean winning the same competition three times in a row. Gundappa Viswanath
Gundappa Ranganath Viswanath (born 12 February 1949) is a former Indian cricketer. Vishwanath was rated as one of India's finest batsmen throughout the 1970s. Viswanath played Test cricket for India from 1969 to 1983, making 91 appearances and scoring more than 6,000 runs. He also played in One Day Internationals from 1974 to 1982, including the World Cups of 1975 and 1979. At state level, he played for Karnataka (formerly Mysore) throughout his career. Viswanath, popularly nicknamed "Vishy", had an elegant and wristy batting style which emphasized timing rather than power.
