Rafsanjan ( fa, رفسنجان, also Romanization, Romanized as Rafsanjān and Rafsinjān; also known as Bahrāmābād) is a city and capital of Rafsanjan County, Kerman Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 136,388, in 33,489 families. Rafsanjan is the biggest producer of pistachios in the world. Also one of the biggest copper mines in the world is located there too. In addition the biggest and oldest house of the world is located there. Many famous people were born in Rafsanjan: Mirza Reza Kermani, Ali Akbar Hashemi, Adel Ferdosipour etc. It is Iran's center of pistachio cultivation. It had an estimated population of 134,848 in 2005. Rafsanjan is also a major center of carpet production even though the rugs are sold as Kermani rugs rather than Rafsanjani ones. Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani ( fa, اکبر هاشمی رفسنجانی, Akbar Hāshemī Rafsanjānī, born Akbar Hashemi Bahramani, 25 August 1934 – 8 January 2017) was an Iranian peoples, Iranian politician, writer, and one of the founding fathers of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Islamic Republic who was the fourth president of Iran from 1989 to 1997. Rafsanjan County ( fa, شهرستان رفسنجان) is in Kerman province, Iran. The capital of the county is the city of Rafsanjan. At the 2006 census, the county's population was 291,417, in 71,830 households. The following census in 2011 counted 287,921 people in 76,797 households, by which time Anar District had been separated from the county to form Anar County. At the 2016 census, the county's population was 311,214 in 91,511 households. Ali Samereh
Ali Samereh ( fa, علی سامره; born November 23, 1977) is an Iranian football coach and former player. He played for Iranian clubs Fajr Sepasi, Esteghlal and Mes Kerman, for Italian side Perugia, and for UAE clubs Al-Shaab and Ajman. He usually played as a striker. Club career Samereh began his career at Iranian Premier League outfit F.C. Fajr Sepasi and soon showed what he is capable of, this earned him a move to the Iranian giants Esteghlal F.C. Hossein Marashi
Hossein Marashi ( fa, حسین مرعشی; born 17 November 1958 in Rafsanjan) is an Iranian politician. He served as the Iranian Vice President for Cultural Heritage and Tourism from 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, Marashi represented Kerman in the Iranian parliament. He strongly backed opposition candidate Mousavi in the 2009 Iranian election. Sarcheshmeh
Sarcheshmeh (سرچشمه) or Sarcheshmeh Copper Complex ( fa, كارخانجات مجتمع مس سرچشمه – ''Kārkhāneh-ye Mojtame‘-e Mes-e Sar Cheshmeh'') is a large open cast copper mine in the Kerman Province of Iran, considered to be the second largest copper deposit worldwide. Also containing substantial amounts of molybdenum, gold and other rare metals. It is also a settlement, enumerated at Iranian census. The Sarcheshmeh Copper Complex is located 65 km southwest of Kerman and 50 km south of Rafsanjan. The region's altitude averages about 2600m, the highest spot of which approximates 3000m. Mohammad Hosseini (politician)
Mohammad Hosseini (born 1961) is an Iranian politician and who is currently serving as the vice president for parliamentary affairs in the cabinet of Ebrahim Raisi. He served as minister of culture in the second cabinet of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. He is also a military figure and the veteran of the Iran–Iraq War. He is part of the Mahmoud Ahmedinejad's close circle.
