Rafika Marzouk
Rafika Marzouk (رفيقة مرزوق), born 27 October 1979 in Sousse, is a Tunisian handball player. She plays as captain at right wing for Nantes Loire Atlantique Handball in the top division of the French league ''Championnat de France de handball féminin'' and in the Tunisian national team. Marzouk played for Tunisia in the African Women's Handball Championships in 2010 and 2012 in which the team was runner-up, and in 2014 in which it won the tournament. Sousse or Soussa ( ar, سوسة, ; Berber:''Susa'') is a city in Tunisia, capital of the Sousse Governorate. Located south of the capital Tunis, the city has 271,428 inhabitants (2014). Sousse is in the central-east of the country, on the Gulf of Hammamet, which is a part of the Mediterranean Sea. Handball
Handball (also known as team handball, European handball or Olympic handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team. A standard match consists of two periods of 30 minutes, and the team that scores more goals wins. Modern handball is played on a court of , with a goal in the middle of each end. The goals are surrounded by a zone where only the defending goalkeeper is allowed; goals must be scored by throwing the ball from outside the zone or while "diving" into it. The 2011 World Women's Handball Championship was the 20th edition of the international championship tournament in women's Team sport handball that is governed by the International Handball Federation (IHF). Brazil hosted the event from 2–18 December 2011. On 18 December 2011, Norway women's national handball team, Norway successfully contested France women's national handball team, France 32–24 in the World Women's Handball Championship#final, final. The International Handball Federation (IHF) is the administrative and controlling body for handball and beach handball.
