Rafał Murawski
Rafał Murawski (, born 9 October 1981) is a Polish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Club career Murawski was born in Malbork. While spending his youth club time mostly in Gdańsk, he signed his first senior contract with Arka Gdynia, where he spent four successful years. In early 2005, he moved to Amica Wronki. In July 2006, he moved to Lech Poznań after their merger with Amica. In the summer of 2009, he moved to Russian club Rubin Kazan on a three-year contract. However, in August 2011, he returned to Lech Poznań and signed a three-and-a-half-year contract. International career He made his debut on 15 November 2006 in the Euro 2008 qualifier match, against Belgium in Brussels. Almost exactly one year later on 21 November 2007, he also scored his first goal for Poland during the Euro 2008 qualifier match against and in Serbia. Serbian National Football Team
The Serbia national football team ( sr, Фудбалска репрезентација Србије, Fudbalska reprezentacija Srbije) represents Serbia in men's international football competition. It is controlled by the Football Association of Serbia, the governing body for football in Serbia. After the breakup of SFR Yugoslavia and its football team in 1992 Serbia was represented (alongside Montenegro) within the new FR Yugoslavia national football team. Despite qualifying for Euro 92 the team was banned from participating in the tournament due to international sanctions, with the ruling also enforced for World Cup 94 and Euro 96 qualifiers. 2009 Russian Premier League
The 2009 Russian Premier League was the 18th season of the Russian football championship since the dissolution of the Soviet Union and 8th under the current Russian Premier League name. The season started on 14 March 2009 with a goalless draw between Amkar Perm and Rostov. The last matches were played on 29 November 2009. 2008–09 Ekstraklasa
The 2008–09 Ekstraklasa was the seventy-fifth season of top-tier football in Poland. It began on 8 August 2008 and ended on 30 May 2009. The season was originally scheduled to start on 25 July 2008. However, the first two rounds of games were postponed because of legal uncertainties about the number of teams in the competition following an association-wide corruption scandal. Wisła Kraków won the league for the second time in a row and for the 12th time in their history after defeating Śląsk Wrocław 2–0 in the final match of the season. Legia Warsaw finished as runners-up and qualified for the second qualifying round of 2009–10 UEFA Europa League. Lech Poznań finished third and qualified for the third qualifying round of the Europa League after winning the Polish Cup. The 2007–08 Ekstraklasa started in July 2007 and ended in mid-May 2008. It was run by the Ekstraklasa SA. The Polish Champion will qualify for the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round. The runner-up and winner of the Polish Cup will qualify for the UEFA Cup first qualifying round. The third placed team will qualify for the second round of the UEFA Intertoto Cup. The bottom two teams will be relegated to Poland League Two for 2008-09 season, with the 3rd bottom team playing off against the 4th-placed team in Poland League Two to decide the final positions for next season (the winner will be either promoted or stay in the top league). Poland Ekstraklasa (), meaning "Extra Class" in Polish, named PKO Ekstraklasa since the 2019–20 season due to its sponsorship by PKO Bank Polski, is the top Polish professional league for men's association football teams. Contested by 18 clubs, operating a system of promotion and relegation with the I liga, seasons start in July, and end in May or June the following year. Teams play a total of 34 games each.
