Rafael Trujillo (sailor)
Rafael Joaquín Trujillo Villar (born 14 December 1975 in La Línea de la Concepción, Cádiz) is a Spanish sailor of the Finn class and an Olympic medalist. He won the Finn Gold Cup once and competed in four straight Olympic Games, winning a silver medal in Athens 2004. He sailed with +39 Challenge in the 2007 Louis Vuitton Cup. Trujillo was also part of the ''Mapfre Mapfre, S.A. (, officially typeset MAPFRE) is a Spanish multinational insurance company, based in Majadahonda, Madrid. The name comes from the old mutual origin of the company (''Mutualidad de la Agrupación de Propietarios de Fincas Rústicas ...'' yacht in the 2014–15 Volvo Ocean Race, and coaches 2013 world champion Jorge Zarif. The sport of sailing involves a variety of competitive sailing formats that are sanctioned through various sailing federations and yacht clubs. Racing disciplines include matches within a fleet of sailing craft, between a pair thereof or among teams. Additionally, there are specialized competitions that include setting speed records. Racing formats include both closed courses and point-to-point contests; they may be in sheltered waters, coast-wise or on the open ocean. Most competitions are held within defined classes or ratings that either entail one type of sailing craft to ensure a contest primarily of skill or rating the sailing craft to create classifications or handicaps.
