Rafael Gaglianone
Rafael Gaglianone (born December 26, 1994) is a Brazilian gridiron football placekicker who is currently a free agent. He was most recently a member of the Edmonton Elks of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Gaglianone attended Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He received scholarship offers from North Carolina State University and the University of Wisconsin, choosing Wisconsin because, “ ehad been in the south for too long.” After finishing his college career, the Big Ten posted on Twitter that he would be returning to Brazil to "work for a company that bridges opportunities for international students to receive scholarships in the USA." Placekicker
Placekicker, or simply kicker (PK or K), is the player in gridiron football who is responsible for the kicking duties of field goals and extra points. In many cases, the placekicker also serves as the team's kickoff specialist or punter. Specialized role The kicker initially was not a specialized role. Prior to the 1934 standardization of the prolate spheroid shape of the ball, drop kicking was the prevalent method of kicking field goals and conversions, but even after its replacement by place kicking, until the 1960s the kicker almost always doubled at another position on the roster. 2014 Wisconsin Badgers Football Team
The 2014 Wisconsin Badgers football team represented the University of Wisconsin–Madison in the 2014 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Badgers were led by second-year head coach Gary Andersen, were members of the new West Division of the Big Ten Conference, and played their home games at Camp Randall Stadium. They finished the season 11–3, 7–1 in Big Ten play to be champions of the West Division. 2022 CFL Global Draft
The 2022 CFL Global Draft was a selection of non-Canadian and non-American players by Canadian Football League (CFL) teams that took place on May 3, 2022. It was the second CFL Draft that pools all of the global players together after previously having separate drafts for Mexican players and European players in 2019. 27 players were chosen from among eligible players following the CFL Combine in March. Similar to the previous year's draft, this was a snake draft with the even-numbered rounds being the reverse order of the odd-numbered rounds. The 2015 Holiday Bowl was an American college football bowl game played on December 30, 2015 at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, California. The 38th edition of the Holiday Bowl, it featured Wisconsin from the Big Ten Conference and USC from the Pac-12 Conference.
