Rafael Camacho Guzmán
Rafael Camacho Guzmán (November 16, 1916 – 1998) was a Mexican trade union and political leader, member of the Institutional Revolutionary Party and governor of Queretaro from 1979 to 1985. Rafael Camacho Guzmán was born in the city of Queretaro in 1916. He studied agronomy in Guanajuato. Speaker got his license in 1942 and worked in the XEBZ in Mexico City. It was the official broadcaster of the Presidency of the Republic during the government of Miguel Aleman. He participated in the founding of the Union of the Industry of the Radio and Television (Stirt) and was its director from 1961 to 1979. He was one of the most prominent of the Confederation of Workers of Mexico and very close to Fidel Velazquez leaders. He was elected senator in 1976 and Governor of Queretaro in the 1979 election. Mariano Palacios Alcocer
Mariano Palacios Alcocer (born May 27, 1952 in Santiago de Querétaro) is a Mexican politician affiliated with the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). He is a former governor of Querétaro and has presided twice over the PRI. Mariano Palacios received a doctorate in law from the National Autonomous University of Mexico in 1995; he also holds both a bachelor's and a master's degree in law from the Autonomous University of Querétaro. He is married to Ana María González de Palacios, with whom he has seven children. Antonio Calzada Urquiza (b. Santiago de Querétaro, September 10, 1930-June 29, 2019) was a Mexican architect and politician. He was a member of the Institutional Revolutionary Party and served as the Governor of Querétaro from 1973 to 1979. Sierra Gorda
The Sierra Gorda () is an ecological region centered on the northern third of the Mexican state of Querétaro and extending into the neighboring states of Guanajuato, Hidalgo and San Luis Potosí. Within Querétaro, the ecosystem extends from the center of the state starting in parts of San Joaquín and Cadereyta de Montes municipalities and covering all of the municipalities of Peñamiller, Pinal de Amoles, Jalpan de Serra, Landa de Matamoros and Arroyo Seco, for a total of 250 km2 of territory. The area is extremely rugged with high steep mountains and deep canyons.
