Rafael Freire Luz (born February 11, 1992), commonly known as Rafa Luz, is a Brazilian-Spanish professional basketball player for BC Andorra, MoraBanc Andorra of the LEB Oro. He is a point guard. Early years Rafa Luz, the brother of several international players for the Brazil women's national basketball team, Brazilian national women's team, was called up to the Brazil national under-19 basketball team, Brazilian national under-18 team, at the age of 15. In October 2009, after spending two seasons with Baloncesto Málaga, Unicaja's junior youth teams, Luz got a Spanish passport. Professional career Luz signed for the 2010–11 ACB season with the Spanish club Baloncesto Málaga, Unicaja, but he ended up playing with the club's farm team, CB Axarquía, Clínicas Rincón. Obradoiro Clube de Amigos do Baloncesto (lit, Obradoiro Friends of Basketball Club), also known as Monbus Obradoiro for sponsorship reasons, is a professional basketball team based in Santiago de Compostela, Galicia. FIBA AmeriCup
The FIBA AmeriCup (previously known as the FIBA Americas Championship) is the Americas Basketball Championship that takes place every four years between national teams of the Western Hemisphere continents. Since FIBA organised the entire Western Hemisphere west of the Atlantic Ocean under one zone, countries from North America, Central America, the Caribbean and South America compete in this tournament. Through the 2015 edition, the Americas Championship took place every two years, and was also a qualifying tournament for the FIBA World Cup and the Summer Olympic Games. Basketball competitions at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto were held from July 16 to 25 at the Ryerson Athletic Centre. A total of eight men's and women's teams competed in each tournament respectively.
