Radwan Ghazi Moumneh
Radwan Ghazi Moumneh is a Canadian recording engineer, producer, and musician. Moumneh's family fled the Lebanese Civil War for the Sultanate of Oman, where he grew up, moving to Montreal in 1993. Throughout the mid 1990s and early 2000s Moumneh recorded, and toured with, a number of Montreal-based hardcore and punk bands such as The Black Hand and IRE. In 2004 Moumneh established the Hotel2Tango recording studio with Howard Bilerman, Efrim Menuck, and Thierry Amar (the later two are core members of Godspeed You! Black Emperor and Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra). In 2005 Moumneh began performing live as Jerusalem In My Heart with a number of collaborators, a project with whom he has released two full-length records. Secretly Canadian is an American independent record label based in Bloomington, Indiana, with offices in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Austin, London, Paris, Amsterdam, and Berlin. Secretly Canadian is a label included in Secretly Group, which also includes Dead Oceans and Jagjaguwar. Secretly Group includes the three record labels as well as a music publisher known as Secretly Publishing, representing artists, writers, film makers, producers, and comedians. History Secretly Canadian was founded in 1996 by Chris and Ben Swanson, Eric Weddle, and Jonathan Cargill while they attended Indiana University. Ought (band)
Ought was a post-punk band from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The band consisted of Tim Darcy (vocals, guitar), Ben Stidworthy (bass), Matt May (keyboards) and Tim Keen (drums). History Ought formed in 2011 when its members began living together in a communal band practice space and recorded their earliest material. Their debut EP, ''New Calm'', was released in 2012. After signing with Constellation Records, they released a full-length, ''More than Any Other Day'', in 2014. The album achieved critical acclaim, including a Best New Music accolade from Pitchfork Media. It was noted in numerous year-end lists for 2014 including Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, Drowned In Sound, Loud and Quiet, Exclaim!, Crack Magazine, and Paste.
