Radosław Kałużny
Radosław Kałużny (; born 2 February 1974) is a Polish former professional Association football, footballer. Club career Born in Góra, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Kałużny spent his first ten years in pro football in Poland. In 2001, he moved to Germany and stayed there for five years, playing for four teams. After another season in Cyprus, he last played for the Polish football club Jagiellonia Białystok and retired in summer 2008. International career Kałużny was capped 41 times for the Poland national football team, Poland national team and scored 11 goals. He was a participant at the 2002 FIFA World Cup. Post-retirement After retirement, Kałużny found employment doing mainly manual labour in construction, warehousing and waste management. Góra
Góra (german: Guhrau) is a town in Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in western Poland. It is the administrative seat both of Góra County and of the smaller district (gmina) called Gmina Góra. Geography The town is located within the historic Lower Silesia region, approximately north-west of the regional capital Wrocław. As at 2019, it has a population of 11,797. History The settlement in the Duchy of Silesia of fragmented Poland was first mentioned as ''Gora'' in an 1155 deed by Pope Adrian IV conveying the property to the Diocese of Wrocław. Polish League Cup (1999–2002)
The Polish League Cup ( pl, Puchar Ligi Polskiej) was a short lived cup competition in Poland spanning three editions from 1999 to 2002. The Polish League Cup was a newly created competition to revive the League Cup in Poland, which was last cancelled 21 years prior in 1978. The competition was presented and pushed by Zbigniew Boniek and Richard Raczkowski. They wanted the competition to have a high interest from the fans and to make games competitive. They did this by giving a large financial bonus for each round the team got into, with the winner earning a total of 1.3 million PLN. The format of the competition changed between its editions. The first edition was a two-legged knockout tournament with the final being a one-off game to win the competition.
