Radio Radio (band)
Radio Radio is a Canadian electro hip-hop band formed in 2007 from Clare, Nova Scotia, and Moncton, New Brunswick Canada. The duo rap in Chiac, an Acadian French dialect. History The hip-hop/rap group Jacobus et Maleco, from Clare in St. Mary's Bay, Nova Scotia, was formed in 2001 by Jacques Alphonse Doucet alias Jacobus, Marc Comeau alias Maleco, and Alexandre Bilodeau alias DJ Alexandre. After the departure of Maleco, the decision was made to change the name of the group to Radio Radio. Radio Radio released their first EP entitled ''Télé-Télé'' in 2007. During their promotional tour in Montréal, they were interviewed on Christiane Charette's radio show broadcast on la Première Chaîne. In April 2008, the band released their first full-length album '' Cliché Hot'' on Bonsound Records. The Festival International de Louisiane is an annual music and arts festival held in Lafayette, Louisiana celebrating the French heritage of the region and its connection to the Francophone world. The festival was first held in 1987 and has become very popular, attracting musicians, artists, and craftsmen from around the world. The festival is held outdoors, in Downtown Lafayette, the last full weekend in April, and is free to the public. Estimates for attendance include 400,000 in 2016. South by Southwest, abbreviated as SXSW and colloquially referred to as South By, is an annual conglomeration of parallel film, interactive media, and music festivals and Convention (meeting), conferences organized jointly that take place in mid-March in Austin, Texas, United States. The Osheaga Music and Arts Festival (french: Festival musique et arts Osheaga) is a multi-day indie music festival in Montreal, Quebec, that is held every summer at Parc Jean-Drapeau on Île Sainte-Hélène. The festival takes place on six stages with various audience capacities. Translated from their French equivalents, they are called "River Stage," "Mountain Stage," "Green Stage," "Trees Stage," "Valley Stage," and "Zone Piknic Electronik." Each performance area is paired with a sponsor. Band set times fluctuate based on the status of the performer within the festival.
