Radio Metro
Radio Metro is a community Australian radio station located on Gold Coast, Queensland. It is the only youth community radio station on the Gold Coast. The majority of Radio Metro's demographic is between the ages of 15-35, specifically 18-24. History 1995-2001: Hott FM Radio Metro was originally broadcast as Hott FM in July 1995 from a shed in Nerang, Queensland on weekends with a weak mono signal. At the end of 1997, the Australian Broadcasting Authority (ABA- now the ACMA- Australian Communications and Media Authority) granted Radio Metro a full-time community broadcast permit. 2001-2013: Radio Metro Hott FM changed its name to Radio Metro in 2001. Vicious Vinyl is a record label based in Melbourne, Australia. The label was started in the late 1980s in Frankston by aspirant producer/ DJs, Andy Van and John Course. Colin Daniels later joined as their third partner. Vicious Recordings was founded in 1992, and has featured artists such as Avicii, Dirty South, Madison Avenue, Peking Duk, and The Potbelleez. They released a number of local artists including Ground Level, Bubbleman and Pendulum to major club scene acclaim. The label garnered major international success with the ''Vicious Grooves'' release of Andy Van's Madison Avenue project and their single, "Don't Call Me Baby". Nervo (stylised as NERVO) are an Australian DJ duo comprising twin sisters Olivia and Miriam Nervo (born 18 February 1982). After signing with Sony/ATV Music Publishing at 18 years of age, the sisters pursued careers as songwriting partners and in 2008 they signed with Fredrik Olsson and his Swedish music publishing company Razor Boy Music Publishing, which led to co-writing the Grammy Award-winning single, "When Love Takes Over", performed by David Guetta and Kelly Rowland. Slander (stylized as SLANDER) is an American DJ duo consisting of Derek Andersen and Scott Land based in Los Angeles. They are best known for their unique sound and subgenre "heaven trap". They attribute most of their success to their close friend Nathaniel Bates, who they say “single handedly gave them the inspiration and confidence to become full time DJ’s”. Early life Andersen and Land met at their fraternity, Kappa Sigma, in University of California, Irvine. They later went to and graduated from Icon Collective, a music production school together with Nghtmre.
