Radio (The Corrs Song)
"Radio" is a song by Irish folk rock band the Corrs. It was released in October 1999 from the band's live album '' The Corrs Unplugged'', recorded on 5 October 1999 during their appearance on ''MTV Unplugged'', with "Dreams" from the same album as a B-side. The song was originally slated for their previous album '' Talk on Corners'' but was shelved after failing to develop a suitable arrangement at the time. An "electric" version appeared on their next studio album ''In Blue''. The single became a chart hit, reaching the top 20 in Ireland, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. The song was also a modest adult contemporary hit in Canada, reaching number 64 on the ''RPM'' Adult Contemporary chart. Caroline Corr
Caroline Georgina Corr MBE (born 17 March 1973), known to fans as the "Chick with the Stick", is an Irish singer and drummer for the Celtic folk rock band The Corrs. In addition to the drums, Corr plays the ''bodhrán'', ''cajón'', percussions and piano. The Corr siblings were appointed honorary MBEs in 2005, in recognition of their music and charitable work, which has raised money for the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle upon Tyne, victims of the Omagh Bombing and other charities. Robert C. Ludwig (born c. 1945) is an American mastering engineer. He has mastered recordings on all the major recording formats for all the major record labels, and on projects by more than 1,300 artists including Led Zeppelin, Lou Reed, Queen, Jimi Hendrix, Bryan Ferry, Paul McCartney, Nirvana, Bruce Springsteen and Daft Punk resulting in over 3,000 credits. Fiachra Terence Wilbrah Trench (born 7 September 1941, in Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland) is an Irish musician and composer from Drogheda, County Louth, Ireland. Trench first studied Chemistry at Trinity College, Dublin, before moving on to the University of Georgia in 1963, and then the University of Cincinnati. From 1969 to 1991 he lived and worked in London. In 1972, he co-produced, and played keyboards on, the If album ''Waterfall'', as well as appearing on Solid Gold Cadillac's eponymous first album. In 1973 he played piano on the If album '' Double Diamond''. He and his songwriting partner of the 1980s Ian Levine wrote and produced some popular Hi-NRG club hits of the era for Miquel Brown, Barbara Pennington and Evelyn Thomas. Keith Arnold Jacques Duffy (born 2 June 1966) is an Irish bassist, bass guitarist, best known for his long-standing support role in the folk-pop band The Corrs. Duffy was born in Drogheda, County Louth. From 1990, he played bass with The Commitments (film), Commitments star Andrew Strong for four years and then toured with The Stars From The Commitments, The Commitments Band for a year, before getting a call from The Corrs, Corrs manager John Hughes (Irish musician), John Hughes in 1995. He has accompanied The Corrs on all of their tours ever since and played on many of their studio recordings. Dobro is an American brand of resonator guitars, currently owned by Gibson and manufactured by its subsidiary Epiphone. The term "dobro" is also used as a generic term for any wood-bodied, single-cone resonator guitar. Anthony Drennan
Anthony "Anto" Drennan (born on 1 November 1958) is an English-born Irish guitarist noted for his involvement with the Corrs, Genesis and Mike + the Mechanics among others. Drennan is from a musical Irish family and was born in Luton, England; he and his family moved back to Ireland while he was at a young age. He grew up in County Dublin and attended Kilmacud National School. Drennan became a touring lead guitarist for the Corrs from late 1995 and onwards. He was chosen as the touring second guitarist/bassist for Genesis on their 1998 ''Calling All Stations'' tour (replacing long-time live band member Daryl Stuermer). Jim Corr
James Steven Ignatius Corr, (born 31 July 1964) is an Irish musician, singer, songwriter and DJ. He is a member of the Irish folk/rock band The Corrs, the other members being his three younger sisters Andrea, Sharon and Caroline. Musical career Corr first took guitar lessons in his hometown of Dundalk, a large industrial town in County Louth. Corr plays acoustic and electric guitar as well as piano, keyboard, accordion and singing background vocals. He has also had an active role in the production aspects of all of The Corrs' albums to date, working with David Foster and Olle Romo on two separate albums.
