Radford F.C.
Radford Football Club is a football club based in the Nottingham inner-city area of Radford, England. The club is based at Selhurst Street, off Radford Road. They are nicknamed 'The Pheasants'. They play in the . History The club was established in 1964 as a works team of the engineering and manufacturing firm Manlove & Alliots. The club was founded in Hyson Green outside the Cricketers Arms, when they had saved enough money to buy some home shirts. In 1966 they joined the Nottingham Sunday League system and continued as Manloves until 1973-74, when they changed their name for two seasons and played under the guise of Fountain FC. In 1975, the club changed its name again, becoming Radford Olympic, and in 1977 became the first amateur club in Britain to be allowed to wear advertising on their shirts. Radford, Nottingham
Radford is an inner-city area of Nottingham, located just outside the city centre. The appropriate ward of the City of Nottingham Council is called Radford and Park with a population of 21,414. It is bounded on the south by Lenton and Nottingham City Centre, and comprises around of land. History St Peter's Church, Radford was given by William Peveril to Lenton Priory. The church was rebuilt in 1812 at a cost of £2,000. The Wesleyan chapel was built in 1805 and enlarged in 1828. In September 1878 a chapel was built on St Peter's Street by the United Methodist Free Churches at a cost of £1,900. It was closed owing to declining membership and income in June 1947 and purchased by the Evangelical Free Church. The Football Association Challenge Vase, usually referred to as the FA Vase, is an annual football competition for teams playing in Steps 5 and 6 of the English National League System (or equivalently, tier 9 or 10 of the overall English football league system). For the 2017–18 season 619 entrants were accepted, with two qualifying rounds preceding the six proper rounds, semi-finals (played over two legs) and final to be played at Wembley Stadium. The Football Association Challenge Cup, more commonly known as the FA Cup, is an annual knockout football competition in men's domestic English football. First played during the 1871–72 season, it is the oldest national football competition in the world. It is organised by and named after The Football Association (The FA). Since 2015, it has been known as The Emirates FA Cup after its headline sponsor. A concurrent women's tournament is also held, the Women's FA Cup. The competition is open to all eligible clubs down to Level 9 of the English football league system with Level 10 clubs acting as stand-ins in the event of non-entries from above. United Counties League
The United Counties League (also known after its sponsor as the ''Uhlsport United Counties League'') is an English football league covering Northamptonshire, Rutland and Bedfordshire and most of Leicestershire as well as parts of Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Nottinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and the West Midlands.
